The VSTE Board of Directors and Conference Committee are excited to have you join us at the 32nd Annual Technology in Education Conference. #VSTE17 promises to be the best ever.
Use the schedule to plan your conference. VSTE will NOT be providing a printed copy of the schedule so if you prefer paper, please print your own. If you create an account with sched.com, you can save and share your favorites as well as print a personalized schdule.
IMPORTANT: While we encourage you to save and share, indicating interest in a session DOES NOT guarantee a seat in a session. All sessions, with the exception of Promethean’s Escape Room, are first come, first served.
The Second (Now Annual) VSTE Demo Slam Join a group of NoVA educators as they give lively 3 minute presentation on apps, tools, gadgets and gizmos. You will leave with new ideas to fill your teacher tool box. Each presenter will be given a maximum of 3 minutes and 10 slides to present their entry into the demo slam. There will be a strict/monitored time limit. The audience will cheer and jeer and heckle (with nothing but love) the presenters. NEW FOR 2017: The top 5 vote getters will be brought back to to the closing keynote to compete for the VSTE Keynote Championship. In the end the audience will crown the VSTE Demo Slam 2017 King or Queen.
Outline: Introduction of presenters and how the Demo Slam works. Each presenter is given 3 minutes or less. Any additional time will be given to attendees to also share. Voting for Demo Slam winner.
