Use the schedule to plan your conference. VSTE will NOT be providing a printed copy of the schedule so if you prefer paper, please print your own. If you create an account with sched.com, you can save and share your favorites as well as print a personalized schdule.

IMPORTANT: While we encourage you to save and share, indicating interest in a session DOES NOT guarantee a seat in a session. All sessions, with the exception of Promethean’s Escape Room, are first come, first served.

The Connected Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

ABS and Cisco share the same goals: to help students and educators safely connect, create and share without boundaries. As technology rapidly advances, IT is being leveraged in more ways than ever to not only foster the educational environment in which students learn, but also in how school systems function from safety, communication and productivity aspects.

The Connected Classroom:
There are more ways than ever to take education beyond the classroom – videoconferencing is just one prime example. Furthermore, students and faculty are being informed and managed in new ways. During our presentation, we hope to inform K12 Technology Staff (i.e. Network Administrators, Directors, etc.) of the latest technologies that can be leveraged to make the classroom and the school systems at large a better place to live work and play. Below are a few examples of what we aim to discuss:

Connected Vehicles
Smart Parking
Wi-Fi/CMX
Digital Signage
Asset Observation
Asset Management
Smart Spaces/Lighting
Safety + Security
Incident Response

Presenters:
For this presentation, ABS Technology would present this material and we would potentially present this alongside one of our clients* whom has had success with connected classroom technologies. (*Tentative, TBD.)
