Welcome!

The VSTE Board of Directors and Conference Committee are excited to have you join us at the 32nd Annual Technology in Education Conference. #VSTE17 promises to be the best ever.

Use the schedule to plan your conference. VSTE will NOT be providing a printed copy of the schedule so if you prefer paper, please print your own. If you create an account with sched.com, you can save and share your favorites as well as print a personalized schdule.

IMPORTANT: While we encourage you to save and share, indicating interest in a session DOES NOT guarantee a seat in a session. All sessions, with the exception of Promethean’s Escape Room, are first come, first served.

Explore a Virtual Classroom filled with Avatars!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Visit a simulated classroom that allows students to engage with avatars in a setting to gain real world experience. This interaction method helps future teachers to better understand the principles of learning and teaching.
The simulation is from TeachLive, which is an interactive computer and human-facilitated simulation of a classroom with five avatars that behave as typical elementary, middle, or high school students. Participants will also explore feedback from other adult avatars that behave as parents, teachers or principals. The goal is to help teachers learn how to improve their skills, and to better prepare them to teach real students in a real classroom.
