Makers of Mastery in the Classroom

This session will explore the active ways Maker culture can be incorporated into the classroom. Teachers will learn about the history and philosophy behind the Maker movement. In addition, teachers will learn some of the tools used to facilitate inquiry, creativity and innovation to show mastery of the content, including 3D Printing with TinkerCad, Stop Motion Animation, Green Screen, Spheros, and VR. The presentation will also offer suggestions on how build a maker culture at your school both in pedagogy and acquiring the materials needed to get started.
