Use the schedule to plan your conference. VSTE will NOT be providing a printed copy of the schedule so if you prefer paper, please print your own. If you create an account with sched.com, you can save and share your favorites as well as print a personalized schdule.
IMPORTANT: While we encourage you to save and share, indicating interest in a session DOES NOT guarantee a seat in a session. All sessions, with the exception of Promethean’s Escape Room, are first come, first served.
This session will allow for participants to become familiar with the social learning theory and the use of personification to enhance critical thinking within the classroom. Three online web-based applications will be presented and participants will be able to take away information to successfully utilize the platforms in their classrooms or schools. Blogging, Fakebook, and MySciLife will be presented as OER for educators. Collaboration, formative assessment, blogging, and digital citizenship will be underlying areas of focus. Participants will be able to walk away with QR codes and print "hot sheets" that feature the tools presented/displayed.
