Team Up for Green Screen

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Joey might be timid and shy on the playground, but using green screen, he is empowered to trudge through a rainforest or rescue a city from certain destruction. He can give a weather report from Alaska, step into Starry Night, become a character in Magic Tree House, or see himself atop the Great Wall of China.

Green screen videos are are a super-fun way to allow students to express themselves creatively, reach higher and deeper levels of thinking, and publish content with a purpose. While starting with green screen might sound intimidating, we are going to show you how using a team approach makes the process achievable. Using demonstration and audience participation, we will walk teachers and ITRTs through all the steps in planning, executing, and publishing a green screen video that students will beg to watch again and again. We will utilize the Do Ink green screen app, an iPad, green screen background, and a mic. This presentation is intended for a K-8 audience, with potential applications at higher grades.
