Using Nearpod in the Special Education Class
You ask your class a question and nine hands go up! Instead of just calling on one student, let them all answer at once. Nearpod allows all students to interact at the same time. What month is this? All students mark it using Nearpod and send it to the front of the room.
Most schools have some type of interactive whiteboards but there are some students that need to have that interactive experience right at their desk. The time it takes one student to go to the interactive board and solve a math problem or mark a calendar, multiple students can send up their answers. Nearpod has turned our Special Education Classrooms into a super empowering classroom. From morning meeting to reading and math our students are engaged and in control of their learning. We will show you how we use this technology with our high needs Autism classes to our general Special Education classes. Nearpod is an interactive presentation and assessment tool that can be used to create, polls, quiz’s, images, drawing-boards, videos and more.
