All Students Can Be A Genius With Genius Hour!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Empower your students through Genius Hour! What is Genius Hour? It is a “movement that allows students to explore their own passions and encourages creativity in the classroom” (Geniushour.com). Based on Google’s idea of 20% time, students can use Genius Hour to explore their own passions beyond the prescribed grade-level curriculum and learn 21st century research skills. Beyond learning new information, students who participate in Genius Hour grow as people, as they gain self-esteem through presenting and learning how to share kind and specific feedback with peers.

Class will include theory behind Genius Hour, practical tips from teachers who are successfully implementing it in their classroom, sample student projects, and suggestions for incorporating technology. Participants will leave the session with a website with step-by-step resources in implementing Genius Hour with their students. Come learn to let go and let the creativity begin!
