The future of education technology is bright considering the digital innovation occurring across K-12, giving educators and students alike access to online resources that have contributed to opening the virtual doors of the classroom. Yet, as we chart this exciting and innovative course, many schools are hindered by a lack of awareness, understanding, and effective practices to ensure the classroom doors remain open as a result of the growing cyber threats associated with student privacy and online protections on and off campus. This dilemma is the focus of this workshop. Members of the Executive Board of the National Advisory Council on Cybersecurity will appear on a panel and interactive discussion to explore how they are providing relevant, timely and expert guidance and thought leadership associated with the adoption of practical strategies and recommended best-of-breed solutions to ensure advanced cyber threat protections are afforded to the K-12 public education community.
