The Virginia Cyber Range: Cloud-based Resources for Cybersecurity Education

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The Virginia Cyber Range is an emerging resource with the mission to enhance cybersecurity education for students in the Commonwealth of Virginia’s high schools and colleges, and to support Governor McAulliffe’s vision to boost Virginia’s cybersecurity industry through strategic educational investments. The Virginia Cyber Range seeks to increase the number, and the preparedness, of students entering the cybersecurity workforce in operations, development, and research. Our courseware and hands-on exercise area are available to all Virginia educators at the high school, community college, and university level. We also provide infrastructure for cybersecurity competitions (capture-the-flag). This overview and demonstration will show how this resource can be used by teachers that want to include cybersecurity in their existing courses, want to start a new cybersecurity course, or need a training environment for cybersecurity clubs.
