The VSTE Board of Directors and Conference Committee are excited to have you join us at the 32nd Annual Technology in Education Conference. #VSTE17 promises to be the best ever.
Use the schedule to plan your conference. VSTE will NOT be providing a printed copy of the schedule so if you prefer paper, please print your own. If you create an account with sched.com, you can save and share your favorites as well as print a personalized schdule.
IMPORTANT: While we encourage you to save and share, indicating interest in a session DOES NOT guarantee a seat in a session. All sessions, with the exception of Promethean’s Escape Room, are first come, first served.
Join this fast-paced, highly interactive session that focuses on high-yield strategies of goal setting, self-peer reflection, peer/teacher feedback, and collaboration. An example of a student digital portfolio that embeds these high-yield strategies will be shown. The example portfolio embraces the student taking ownership of their learning. Evidence of the student's growth in learning will include a slidedeck, tweetweek, reflection journal, goal setting diary, artifacts that display student work examples, self/peer feedback and more. In addition, a sample verified resume is included for high school level students to include in their portfolio. Participants will be using a Today's Meet backchannel to collaborate with the presenter and fellow participants. Padlet will provide us with bookmarks of resources used by the presenter. Learn how the digital portfolio aligns with the 2016 ISTE Standards for Students and VDOE's Profile of a Graduate.
