Welcome!

The VSTE Board of Directors and Conference Committee are excited to have you join us at the 32nd Annual Technology in Education Conference. #VSTE17 promises to be the best ever.

Use the schedule to plan your conference. VSTE will NOT be providing a printed copy of the schedule so if you prefer paper, please print your own. If you create an account with sched.com, you can save and share your favorites as well as print a personalized schdule.

IMPORTANT: While we encourage you to save and share, indicating interest in a session DOES NOT guarantee a seat in a session. All sessions, with the exception of Promethean’s Escape Room, are first come, first served.

More than a Map: SuperEmpowering the Science of Where

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Maps can do more than show location. Are you looking for maps that SuperEmpower your students to perform the work of professionals as they analyze data, solve complex problems, and tackle real-world issues? GeoInquiries are short (15-20min), standards-based inquiry activities for teaching map-based concepts integrated with American literature, mathematics, science and world history. Lessons include learning objectives, technical “how-to’s”, and formative whole-class assessment items – all on one page. These activities include a prebuilt ARCGIS Online map for fast, easy exploration. Any teacher can use a GeoInquiry, regardless of their prior experience with digital mapping tools. Come and learn how to supercharge instruction with engaging, FREE, online maps.
