Does your district’s professional learning routine need a spark of inspiration? Are your teachers eager for professional growth but lack the financial resources to seek development opportunities? Come learn how Tazewell County has transformed professional learning. TCPS is in its inaugural year of a Professional Learning Catalog. The catalog details a variety of sessions that offer educators flexibility and ownership of their professional learning. The courses are facilitated by district employees and other local higher-ed partners. With nearly 60 topics and almost 90 sessions, TCPS educators have abundant professional learning opportunities without ever having to leave Tazewell County. In this session, you will learn the vision and mission of TCPS professional learning, how the district organized and facilitated courses, and its future plans for empowering educators in Southwest Virginia.
