Use the schedule to plan your conference. VSTE will NOT be providing a printed copy of the schedule so if you prefer paper, please print your own. If you create an account with sched.com, you can save and share your favorites as well as print a personalized schdule.

IMPORTANT: While we encourage you to save and share, indicating interest in a session DOES NOT guarantee a seat in a session. All sessions, with the exception of Promethean’s Escape Room, are first come, first served.

Fuel Up Your STEAM Engine with the ARTS (and SuperEmpower Students for Improved Classroom Learning Experiences)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Participants will gain insight into the ways that free educational tools (such as Soundation and WeVideo), can be used to add arts exposure, develop arts experiences, and enhance understanding of content areas through the lens of creative expression. This drag-and-drop design is intuitive to middle or high school students and can be applied universally in classrooms. Neither teachers nor students need to have any prior music skills or knowledge to be successful with these tools, but will most definitely use some creativity to investigate the endless possibilities of ways to SuperEmpower students for better learning in their classrooms. Teachers will walk away from this session with ready-to-use lessons, rubrics, and an extensive list of differentiated ideas for adding the arts into several different content areas.
